About Sprouts School
What parents are saying:
You have been the best influence on my children.
We really appreciated everything that Sprouts does, its a fantastic place to have the boys.
Sprouts School is a small neighborhood based nature preschool with a learning through play philosophy. We use the theoretical base of several educational philosophers, including Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, Noddings and Friere to create a dynamic pedagogy that grows with the children in our care. We maintain low student to teacher ratios within our classes in order to best meet the needs of our students and spend 50% of our day outside, weather and air quality permitting. Our curriculum is based in nature but we use scientific methods and terminology with plenty of space to also follow the children’s interests.
The primary school serves children ages 3 to 6 from 9:00am - 2:00pm. We offer 2-day, 3-day and 5-day a week options. We follow a traditional school schedule with breaks at Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break and Summer and there will also be Summer Camp programming available. In addition to the Primary School, there is an Early Learners school for children ages 6 weeks through 2. We also offer extended care hours that children for children enrolled in the Primary Sprouts School and Early Learners.
Sprouts School is a non-religious school and is a partnership between Sprouting Curiosity Collective and Sunset Ridge Collective.
About the Sprouting Curiosity Collective
We are a collective of all kinds of people who welcome all kinds of people. We respect that we have different opinions, skills, beliefs and experiences and we believe those differences make us stronger when we work together.
We are people who love curiosity! We recognize that every experience, person, animal, plant and rock is an opportunity to learn. We face every day with fearless curiosity.
We are sprouting people, growing from the places we’ve been planted and bring with us. The land under our feet, the people that surround us and the experiences we share help us sprout.
Sprouts school is just one of the nature-based, educational endeavors supported by Sprouting Curiosity. Programs for all ages coming soon!
Sprouting Curiosity Collective is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization
